O SÃO PAULO GARDEN CLUB

           O São Paulo Garden Club, fundado em 1939 pela Sra. W. K. Crewe, Sra. J.S. Govier, Sra. Holt, Srta Coddington, Sra. Windsor, Sra. Wright, Sra. Harper, Sra. Seldon e Sra. P. Crewe é um clube originalmente de língua inglesa, cuja finalidade é compartilhar e estimular o interesse em horticultura, Design floral, meio ambiente e responsabilidade cívica.

REGRAS E NORMAS DO CLUBE

                O Clube é composto por quatro grupos, cada qual com o máximo de 30 sócios ativos, e cada grupo se reúne uma vez por mês. Quatro vezes por ano, na Saint Paul's Cathedral, todos os sócios participam de Reuniões Gerais, que acontecem nos meses de fevereiro, maio, agosto e novembro.
                A Exposição Anual de Flores (The Annual Flower Show), costumeiramente marcada para outubro, é o mais importante evento do ano. Qualquer Exposição de Flores, em oficinas (workshops) ou em residências, pode ser uma Exposição de Flores Padrão, como definida pelo National Garden Clubs, Inc., USA, desde que todos os requisitos sejam atendidos.
                Sócios ativos devem participar ao menos de seis reuniões durante o ano. Qualquer sócio que queira participar de reuniões dos outros grupos deve antes se informar com o anfitrião da possibilidade de sua presença naquela reunião.
                Futuros sócios precisam ser apresentados por dois sócios ativos, participar de duas reuniões consecutivas de um grupo e mais uma Reunião Geral antes de ter seu nome proposto ao Conselho Executivo.
                O Clube tem uma biblioteca especializada. Livros e revistas podem ser emprestados através da bibliotecária, durante as Reuniões Gerais.

                Mensalmente o Clube edita  boletins que são remetidos a todos os sócios, pelo correio ou por e-mail.

THE SÃO PAULO GARDEN CLUB

                The São Paulo Garden Club, founded in 1939 by Mrs. W. K. Crewe, Mrs. J. S. Govier, Mrs. Holt, Miss Coddington, Mrs. Windsor, Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Harper, Mrs. Seldon and Mrs. P. Crewe is an international English-speaking club, whose aims are to share and stimulate interest in horticulture, floral design, environmental and civic responsibility.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CLUB

                The Club comprises four groups, each of a maximum of 30 active members, each group meeting monthly. The whole Club meets at St. Paul's Cathedral four times a year for General Meetings held in February, May, August and November.
                The Annual Flower Show, usually held in October, is the most important event of the year. Any Flower Show, at workshops or in a home, may be a Standard Show as defined by the National Garden Club, Inc., USA, provided all requirements are met. 
                Active members are expected to attend at least six meetings a year. Any member wishing to attend other group meetings should check first with the hostess as to whether this is convenient.
                Prospective members must be introduced to the Club by two active members and are expected to attend two consecutive meetings of a Group plus one General Meeting before being proposed to the Executive Council for approval.
                The Club has a specialized library. Books and magazines may be borrowed through the librarian at General Meetings.

                The Club issues montlhly bulletins which are sent by mail or e-mail to all members.
